Man, I am really bummed about this trade.
The New Orleans Saints traded running back (RB) Reggie Bush to the Miami Dolphins for a couple draft picks.
A lot of people wanted Reggie Bush, I was hoping my Eagles had made this move instead. His hometown Chargers were also a possibility, with RB Darren Sproles most likely leaving via free agency. On the contrary, there were a lot of teams rumored for his services, and the Saints made their move and shipped him to the AFC away from them.
Bush, one of the fastest players in the NFL, will be joining a newly acquired Kyle Orton to and rookie RB Daniel Thomas. This all figures to be good news for WR Brandon Marshall. He drew a lot of double-teams last season, allowing Devone Bess to develop into a decent 2nd WR.
Miami, despite losing out on Coach Harbaugh to the San Francisco 49ers, are quietly forming a tough team to compete in the AFC East that contains the Patriots and the Jets.
This could be a make or break season for Coach Tony Sparano, and I’m curious to see if the Dolphins hold onto Chad Henne or not.
