My Philadelphia Eagles, the same day after trading backup QB Kevin Kolb for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, have now filled that backup void by signing recently released QB Vince Young. He was the 3rd overall pick in 2006, coming out of Texas. He went 31-17 as the leader of the Tennessee Titans, and goes to a great place for his future.
Although it is bizarre that he would immediately settle for a backup role, he could be following in the right footsteps, Michael Vick’s to be exact. Andy Reid and Marty Morningweg are quarterback gurus, they show them the ropes and breed them to be tough and persistent.
For the record, I do believe Kolb will be a good player in this league, and obviously, so does Arizona.
In the likelihood that Michael Vick misses game or 2, the Eagles have reloaded at the position with a more than viable starter to fill in.
Now, all of Philadelphia’s attention can turn to negotiating with Desean Jackson.
