Indianapolis Colts QB, Peyton Manning
Chris Mortenson reports that he Indianapolis Colts have signed Peyton Manning to a 5-year, $90 deal. It is equivalent to Tom Brady’s deal.
He took less money so the team can have cap flexibility. Good team move by the future Hall of Famer. Perhaps it is symbolic that he and Brady have the same contract, the two greatest of this generation. And yes, two of the all-time greats.
On another note, Joseph Addai was retained by the Colts, to return as their starting running back. Manning took less money to keep Addai, and in an attempt to extend his blindside protector, left tackle Charlie Johnson.
