Eli Manning

Giants QB Eli Manning: I’m in Tom Brady’s class

“I consider myself in that class, and Tom Brady is a great quarterback, he’s a great player. And what you’ve seen with him is he’s gotten better every year, and he started off winning championships, and I think he’s a better quarterback now than what he was, in all honesty, when he was winning those championships.

“It’s funny, you say, ‘Well, he won championships,’ … (but) he’s grown up and gotten better every year, and that’s what I’m trying to do. I kind of hope these next seven years of my quarterback days are my best.”

“I’m not a 25-interception quarterback, I know that,” he said. “That’s going to be fixed and it should be a good year.”

My Take – This Is Absolute Nonsense

If you do something, you are supposed to believe in yourself and your teammates. But, there is a line between confidence and talking too much.

Eli Manning says he is in Tom Brady’s class.

Sure, you had a few good games and won a Superbowl. Let’s keep it real though, you are the 3rd best QB in your own family Eli Manning. Your father Archie Manning is a Hall of Fame quarterback, and by the way your brother is arguably the best QB to ever step on the field, along with that Tom Brady guy, whom has won multiple championships.

This is something that could have been avoided, because a Superbowl QB isn’t necessarily a top QB (No disrespect Trent Dilfer). Truth is, Trent Dilfer and Eli Manning are the only 2 QBs in the last 25 years to win a Superbowl and not be elite at their position.

So Eli, just play your game and try to throw less than the 25 interceptions you threw last season to lead the league.
