The keys to tonight’s game are:
RB Joe McKnight for the Jets.LaDanian Tomlinson will sit this one out and McKnight is a home run threat. He is the regular special teams returner for new York, but will get to spell Shonn Greene and possibly play 3rd downs and on passing downs as well. He could be a sleeper.
For the Broncos, Willis McGahee is the key for Denver’s success. He got injured on his 4th carry last week, and is attempting to play against a rex Ryan defense that expects to see run after run play tonight. If his hamstring can hold up, he will be a big part for Broncos and Tim Tebow to move the chains and score points.
The Jets need to stack the box and stop the Broncos rushing attack. Revis will lock up the only consistent receiving target in Eric Decker. Everyone else needs to contain the Tebow-McGahee rushing attack.
Denver will most likely assign Champ Bailey to defend Santonio Holmes. If the Jets find their way into the redzone, Plaxico Burress could be the difference maker in this one. The Broncos need to figure out this mismatch. Between Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil, that pass rush might give the secondary the boost it needs.
