NFL Draft Rumblings (Bears/Bengals/Chiefs)

Matt Forte

Chicago Bears may wind up trading running back Matt Forte, they don’t see eye to eye in contract negotiations. Forte has yet to sign his franchise tag tender in hopes for a long-term deal.

Cincinnati Bengals have two picks in the first round, #17 and #21. They did sign free agent running back BenJarvis Green-Ellis, but they could make a play and trade for Matt Forte.

Chicago signed free agent running back Michael Bush, and may draft one high in the draft.

Dwayne Bowe

Kansas City Chiefs drafted Jonathan Baldwin in the first round of last year’s draft. They also signed free agent Steve Breaston last offseason. Dwayne Bowe also has not signed his franchise tag tender, and the Chiefs may ship him out of town and draft a receiver in the first round tonight (perhaps Michael Floyd).

The team linked to the receiver is the Chicago Bears. New general manager in Phil Emery, who happens to be the guy that drafted Bowe for the Chiefs in the first round  (2007), has been vocal about winning a Super Bowl this season. Adding 2 Pro Bowl receivers in one offseason would overhaul their offense overnight (they traded for Brandon Marshall earlier in the offseason).
