NFL Goes Awol: Rivalry Week 17

The final week of the regular season features division rivalries with playoff implications & record-breaking seasons. Opposing stars, Aaron Rodgers & Adrian Peterson (pictured below), will clash on the final football Sunday of 2012 in the game of the week.

NFC Season Finales

Green Bay has to win at Minnesota to lock up a first-round bye, however Adrian Peterson is on a mission to carry his team into the postseason and break the rushing record.

The Falcons have not lost a game at home and they have advantage throughout the postseason, while the Buccaneers are trying to stay out of the NFC South cellar.

With the Cardinals coming to town looking to be spoilers, the 49ers are playing for a first-round bye in the postseason as well as the division crown over the Seahawks.

Little is it known that the Rams are undefeated within the division, but that 12th Man in Seattle will do whatever it takes to snag the division title from San Francisco.

Saints host a streaking Carolina team that has figured some things out, at least they worked out a deal with coach Sean Payton.

AFC Season Finales

Houston got the best of Indianapolis a couple weeks ago with Defensive Player of the Year candidate J.J. Watt preparing for his closing statement and a first-round bye, if not home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. This time around the Colts will be at home with head coach Chuck Pagano on the sidelines, and a great measurement heading into their playoff game next week.

Chiefs will lean on Comeback Player of the Year candidate Jamaal Charles in Denver to detour MVP candidate Peyton Manning & Defensive Player of the Year candidate Von Miller, from notching a first-round bye.

New England has a glimmer of hope to clinch a first-round bye, with the Dolphins visiting they would love to play spoiler and get to a respectable .500 record.

Ravens & Bengals clash in Cincinnati, but both could rest some players for the playoffs next week.

Cleveland has improved but they will make changes along the coaching staff and front office, Pittsburgh on the other hand, could be in the same boat next year if fans are throwing in the white towels rather than waving the terrible towels.
