New York Jets at New England Patriots

The Patriots are favored by 9.5 points, which means if you’re going to bet, it should be on the Jets. NY played the high-octane Broncos close to the final minutes. NE shook off a rocky start to beat the rival Bills convincingly. This rivalry game should result in a single-digit victory either way. Rex Ryan has the best duo on his D-line in Muhammed Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson. The back end is below average, but the Pats O-line will probably be overwhelmed. Darrelle Revis will make life difficult for Eric Decker to contribute much, but the loss of Jerrod Mayo gives Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory a favorable matchup to move the chains. Look for rookie tight end Jace Amaro to keep building chemistry with Geno Smith. You would think Tom Brady can get them the win, similar to Peyton Manning last week, by quickly getting the ball out to his array of unique weapons in due time. Unfortunately, even with Stevan Ridley, they didn’t pose much of a threat on the ground. Playing one-dimensional against a defensive guru and in a divisional game, spells trouble for Bill Belichick in week 7.
